How to change the current team owner or add a new team owner
Question: Can I replace the current team owner with a new team owner?
Answer: ✅ Yes, you can change the current team owner.
Question: Will the previous team owner’s work be lost?
Answer: The work and settings of the current team owner will not be lost after the transfer.
Question: How about adding a new team owner?
Answer: No, you cannot add a new team owner. Currently, PlatoForms supports only one team owner for each team.
Note: Based on whether the new owner’s email is registered or not, you can follow these steps to replace the current team owner.
If the new team owner’s email doesn’t exist in PlatoForms:
For example, if you want to change the team owner’s email from old@team.com to new@team.com, follow these steps:

Log in to PlatoForms with the current owner’s email (old@team.com).

In the top right corner of the Dashboard, click on the avatar and select Account Settings to open the Profile window.

In the Profile window, change the email to new@team.com
If the new team owner’s email already exists in PlatoForms:

Log in to PlatoForms with the existing account (new@team.com).

Go to Account Settings and change the email (new@team.com) to a different one (e.g., another_email_non_registered@team.com). This frees up the email address you want to use.

Log out from this account.

Log in with the current team owner’s email (old@team.com) and change it to the desired email (new@team.com).
What happens after the change?

All work and settings of the current team owner will be preserved after the transfer. The new owner and team members will retain access to everything. Only the login email is affected.

If your team has a premium subscription, the new team owner and all team members will continue to have access to all premium features.
